Water flowing underground
same as it ever was

We are safely returned from The North (in which I feel distincly alien) and counting our blessings for the comfort and peace of our own home. (photo Autumn 2007)

Welcome home! (And glad you mentioned the photo was from Autumn... because I was a bit stunned to see all that green!)

Thank you.

Actually, there is just as much green now. The trees are leylandiii and the grass is quite green now the snow is gone.

There is something very comforting about being in your own home. I do hope the new year begins better for you than the old one ended.

I did a double take when I saw the picture - I had seen in the news how you were all supposed to be under snow...
Still, glad you are safe and sound in your own home. Here's hoping for a shorter winter than what they (as in the papers) are forecasting.

We haven't had snow in the South since the week Mum died.

Keep your fingers crossed that the temperatures continue to climb as the boat is out of the water for 'blacking' which needs temps above 5C. Lift back in is scheduled for the first week in April and if we miss that, we have to wait until next November (because the cost of being lifted back in is shared between the number of bots invollved and no single boat could afford to pay for the crane+crew alone.

Hope 2011 is kind to you, Chen.
