Quote for the Day
Words are the litmus paper of the minds. If you find yourself in the power of someone who will use the word "commence" in cold blood, go somewhere else very quickly. But if they say "Enter", don't stop to pack. Terry Pratchett, Small Gods.
Have you read the latest? Really funny - TP may have needed a typist but his thinking head still works magnificently.
I haven't read Unseen Academicals (Pratchett used voice-recognition software in the final stages of writing). I have it on my Wish List, firmly marked as 'suitable for a birthday present'. Ah well, there's always Christmas and I did get two rather expensive gifts last week.
Have you enjoyed them? Which narrator? Stephen Briggs does the only unabridged versions as far as I'm aware.
Any chance of including Discworld on the Midimeet list of fandoms? Fancy writing a Granny Weatherwax/Buffy crossover?
I'm all for the Discworld as a fandom. I can't see me writing the crossover though.
I'm patiently waiting to see what can be done with one of the 'Witches' novels. I can think of a few British actresses who would be perfect for the parts of Granny and Nanny.
