room with a view room with a view
I've arrived at Retreat HQ, settled into my room, discovered that the wi-fi signal is excellent here and am chilling before lunch. My room overlooks the inner courtyard with its fountain and ivy clad walls. Just discovered that I've left my mobile phone at home and the milk in the utility room is UHT - ugh! Must track down some fresh supplies.

A 19th Century Anglican Nunnery, now conference centre, is the ideal place for a Tai Chi Retreat. The 'chapel' (bigger than many parish churches) is glorious. There was a baptism and Latin Mass there yesterday.

The view is enough to make you feel peaceful even allowing for the horrors of UHT milk.

Fresh milk has been procured with the help of the SatNav to locate nearest supplies and navigate round road works.

A 19th Century Anglican Nunnery, now conference centre. Accommodation is in the former inmates 'cells' with shared kitchens and shower blocks.
