Home at last!

Thursday 24th July Chalons sur Saone to Pont de Vaux

Made the trip in record time despite a head-wind and am really glad to be back in our home port. Had a great welcome from some of the local boaters (Bob and Caroline from Switzerland, and the ex-Mayor of Lyons who has just retired to P de Vaux and is renovating his house here. They told us that the temperatures in the port have been up as high as 40 for weeks at a time.

For those readers who are regulars to my tales from the French waterways, you will have to look at my main LJ page, rather than this view on your friends’ page to catch up on the previous 10 days entries, as I have posted them back-dated.
