knitting Gromit
its usefulness consists in the ability to stick to one thing till it gets there.....

.... unlike my knitting where I have three projects on the go. It was four, but I finished my first rug yesterday. It needs blocking and backing, but I couldn't resist using it last night. It is so thick and squishy and seems to be staying put without a backing so maybe I'll just block it for the time being.

Someone who sticks at something until it's done is birthday girl bogwitch. Have a great day.

I still can't get over that people can hand knit rugs. o_o

We use very BIG needles and very BIG yarn. It's great fun.

I like the rug - is it for the new spare room? Do you knit it in pieces or have thousands of stitches and incredibly long kneedles?

I only have one knitting project on the go, but actually remembering to pick it up and do any of it is where the problems start.

The rug is for my new study/bedroom. It's knit in one piece (60 stitches) from side to side in very chunky yarn. The needles were 9mm standard length. Because there are two colours, it's double thickness as the yarn not being used is stranded across the back.

I knit while watching TV

When I remember I watch TV as I knit too, I just need to remember to pick it up more often. It's silly, I don't even need to look at it as it's only stocking stitch and straight at the moment.

*determines to do some tonight*

I always thought I gave up rather easily.

I was thinking of MMWBTY and your work for writerconuk.

Have you had a good day?

It involved washing the kitchen floor, cleaning the litter tray and a nice lunch, so a mixed bag.

Well, MMWBTY is a bit of a labour of love.
