Today was the Tai Chi trial lesson. Yes, the venue is gorgeous. Yes the class is small (8 max, there were 4 there today). Yes, the instructor is qualified and knows what she's doing. But no, the class isn't for me. The pace is slow (only the introductory move covered in a 1 hour lesson) and there's more emphasis on 'Chi' and the internal benefits of the moves and postures than I need or want. I'm swimming two or three times a week and am looking for a bit more 'oomph' from a Tai Chi Class.
