Water flowing underground
same as it ever was
Quote for the Day
18th-Jan-2009 10:29 am
time after time
“Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow.”

My Chelsea Teasmade died yesterday. It was £5 from a charity shop and was bought to replace Ma-in-law's teasmade that had stopped working back in 2005. When she went into the nursing home, she no longer needed one so I started using the charity-shop one.

I am constitutionally incapable of putting a foot out of bed until I've had my morning tea, so I ordered this one
from Amazon. It should arrive after the new flooring is installed in my room.

Very swish. I like the digital analogue clock.

Aww... how cute! I don't have anything much in the morning until I get to work. (I know... unbelievable). My first real coffee is in work, and everyone knows not to approach me or expect me to do anything until I have it!

I've never been a breakfast girl... when I was twelve, the headmistress at our school sent a letter home to parents stressing that girls should have a good breakfast before leaving home. Hobbitmum took it to heart and used to make me eat scrambled eggs or porridge etc. I used to have to get the bus and then a train to school, and every morning I would get off the train halfway in order to bring up breakfast. Not because I wanted to, you understand (I hate being sick) but because I couldn't keep it down any longer.

It's habit now not to have anything until I get where I am going!

I'm hoping the performance lives up to the looks.
