Spelt loaf baked yesterday.
Why use spelt flour? I like it because it has a nice nutty taste, but there are other reasons too. All about spelt flour
Bread Machine Recipe
1.5tsps fast action yeast
250g organic stoneground spelt flour. (If you can't get any, strong wholemeal flour will do but it lacks the flavour of spelt)
250g strong white flour
1tbs milk powder
2tsp salt
2 tsp sugar (for the bread in the picture, I substituted local honey)
1 oz butter (I usually substitute olive oil)
375ml water
Set the machine to basic large white loaf bake.
