I can haz smoothies

kitten cookie
thanks to totkat and a new hand blender from Sainsbury's. This recipe (minus the ginger and sugar) will use up the mound of strawberries and bananas left over from the Easter weekend.

* 150g strawberries
* 1 medium banana
* 150ml orange juice (frozen)
* 75g set yogurt (frozen) -
* 10g root ginger (raw)
* 15g sugar

Break up the frozen ingredients a bit. Roughly chop strawberries, banana and ginger. Add all ingredients to a suitable container (probably a tall jug) and blend with a hand blender. Pour into a pint glass and add straws. Et voila! The ginger just gives it a nice kick.

Plus, I have the ingredients for some proper hot chocolate (chilli) - wiv cream.

And Two wooly parcels were posted this morning.

I like the sound of that smoothie - and as my girls are always wanting to make smoothies I think I'll print it off for future use (ie when strawberries are more in season).

And I have been reading though not commenting - love the woolly hats (might commission one if we go walking again) though I do think the tea cosy could have done with a pom pom to top it off.

(plus - look at that icon *loves*)

The tea cosy is still pompomless, but already hat number 4 is on my needles. I have enough Harvest colour for this and another hat, and then there is enough Meadow colour to do a further 2 hats. Any preference as to the colour scheme?

Ooh, they are both pretty, but I think I like the Meadow better.

Will reserve the first of the Meadow for your hat then. I can't make my mind up which to have. But one can never have too many hats, especially aboard a boat.

Will you make a copy of the final ep of Torchwood for me and we can do a swap; a CD for a hat.

I certainly will - with pleasure.

Yum!

Long time no see, where have you been?
Long time, indeed.
Mostly I've been working, tending my grandmother and lurking here and there.
I think I needed a break ...and more sleep :P

It is. There are lots of strawberries in the fridge, along with some blueberries. Wonder what will happen if I mix them?
