Mmmmm freshly baked bread

MWNN made this 70% spelt, 30% white loaf (with a little help from the Panasonic you can see in the background) earlier this week.

Time for a buttered slice for breakfast.

It's also time to stock up on flour, methinks, given yesterday's news about rising wheat prices. Spelt isn't wheat and is already a lot more expensive than white or wholemeal flour, but we tend not to make 100% spelt bread, prefering the more open texture a mix of grains provides.

irishnoodles, keep your eyes open for the postman later this week bearing a parcel MWNN posted on Tuesday to aid your swift recovery.
