After initial disappointment at this ‘dying’ former-bargee town, Gray has redeemed itself by providing internet access at only 2 euros per hour, including 5 printouts in black and white. The tourist office provided the relevant bus timetables and rail maps (it helps to know what questions to ask and to be prepared for the inevitable ‘that town is not in this region, so I can’t possibly help you with a request for information about trains to Paris from Nancy, nor Toul or Epinel but Corre, yes that is in the France Compte but doesn’t have a gare; what about a bus? Ah so you know all about the SNCF bus service, you’re not such the innocent grockle I thought you were!)
