Sunday: I sit here watching the rain bounce on the water in the marina. It is one of the most relaxing sights and sounds that I know. It's still hot and the threatened storm has not materialised, except for the downpour.

I should have done the laundry today but the lavarie c'est fermee. I am relying on the single machine in the capitenerie to do two huge washes. (It is now Monday and the first wash is in but will take 'deux heurs, madame; it's a different world here!)

On another note, I see that AtS has been renewed and JM has been named as a cast member for next season by one of the variety papers. Can I now breathe a sigh of relief? Is this why my shoes have been filling with sand as we have walked the dogs in the asparagus fields? *chuckle*

The boat is not ready to leave port. The mosquito nets need replacing on all the windows and the fuel needs replenishing (gas and diesel.) The galley is all provisioned up with lots of emergency rations for all the 'feriers' that are still to come in May.
