knitting sketch
jiggedy jig, than I'm off out again.

This time to a 5 day Tai Chi Retreat. I thought about sussing out the centre as a possible location for a writerconuk event, but didn't think we quite fit the profile of the groups that met there.

Feels like I don't have the energy for this and I'm pretty sleep deprived but it should do me good and set me up for a boat cruise.

There's going to be some sword form sessions - *gulp*

Now they should combine the Discworld con with the Tai Chi retreat. Somehow they seem weirdly relevant.

Have fun. Relax. Enjoy.

I think it's the pointy weapons - come to think of it, the Jossverse wouldn't be out of place either.

I'm hoping to get some writing done in the evenings - I have lots of ideas for the next chapter of the WIP, and then there's the next episode of Deadwood to watch on DVD. I'll certainly not be bored and yes, relaxation is the aim of the game.

I bet you find it re-energises you.

I've booked the meeting room - see my email.

I've just seen the minimeets' entry. A suggestion, why not ammend the entry to add in a 'bring your own thermos' message?

Thanks so much for doing this, it's bringing it closer to reality somehow.

You do lead a busy life, Pat! Have fun. :D

Thanks. It's busy at certain times of the year, other times it can be deadly dull.

I intend to relax over the next few days and get my Tai Chi back up to scratch, I think I might need it on the autumn cruise.

I had no idea that Tai Chi had sword forms. The friend who got me into fencing used to do Tai Chi and she never mentioned it! I really wanna learn Tai Chi now.

Did you sign up for a Tai Chi course? I'm off to the second Tai Chi retreat on Thursday and wondering how I'll cope with learning a different version of the Sword Form to the class I've been taking since last October.

I haven't yet; I've been trying to talk a friend into joining up with me. But the retreat sounds like a lot of fun!

I never managed to persuade anyone to join up with me but I enjoy it just the same. I have to admit that practicing alone is not as much fun as doing it with a group.
