because I'm bored waiting for the NTL engineer to arrive to fix the cable box that miraculously re-booted itself shortly after Customer Services went home yesterday. It being Saturday today, and they not working outside 'office hours', there was no way to cancel the engineer. Not wanting to incur a fine for being out when he called, we're waiting

Meanwhile, I'm reading. I just finished Sleep Pale Sister - Joanna Trolloppe's first novel, edited and reprinted It's interesting, and scary, and very, very dark. So I decided to try something a little more uplifting and have started

myfeetshowit I finished the audio book a few days ago and am suffering severe withdrawal symptoms. I think it's my favourite of the three. I'd read the book years ago and had forgotten most of it. To have it read to me every night since it arrived was pure indulgent pleasure.

Typical -- Amazon doesn't appear to stock the book I'm currently reading (Unberto Eco's The ysterious Flame of Queen Loana). They should. It's very good.

They didn't have The Dream of Scipio, either - it came from one of their 'associate' sellers.

Hmmm. Your posts don't seem to be showing up on my friends list regularly. I've been remiss about reading everything but I wouldn't have missed this many posts.

I'm glad you enjoyed the audio books. I've been downloading other from the libraries, and some are very good but I do like listening to James.
