picture, taken in the April floods can't ease itch to get back on the water. jennylyle took it from the bows of her boat, looking across our narrowboat to the road used by boaties with cars to get into town. Yes, those lamp posts mark the route of the road, and the car park and are not planted in the middle of a lake to illuminate it at night. The walkways down to each of the mooring pontoons are usually at an angle of about 65 degrees (upwards, not downwards as they appear to be here). Any boaters who were living aboard that month had to be ferried by rowing boat to do their shopping.
