pissed off
Bugger - it's snowing.

And MWNN is flying back from Dublin late tonight.

Better go and get out the thermos, fleece throw, mobile phone and shovel.

Brrrr! Good thing I lit the fire today.

Bugger me! It is!

Good luck to MWNN. (something always happens when he's flying back doesn't it?)

Note to all dieties:

WHITE CHRISTMAS! Please! Please!

Shit! The flight's already delayed by 40 minutes. ETA was 22.10, it's now 22.50

Oops should have used the snow icon!
18th-Nov-2004 08:53 pm (UTC)
oooh pretty.

Can you fit Illyria and Spoike onto one of those?

oops - had a Dru moment there, didn't I?
18th-Nov-2004 09:02 pm (UTC)
Dunno, it wasn't made by me. I might try something similar.
18th-Nov-2004 08:49 pm (UTC)
Luton? Or Stansted? (Stansted via Ryanair would presumably be FR298 or FR288.)

I'm not sure I'd trust the A505 tonight past us.
18th-Nov-2004 08:51 pm (UTC)

Where there's a snarl point just as the 505 enters the 40mph zone.

Thanks for the concern and the warning.
18th-Nov-2004 09:53 pm (UTC)
Ah, it's beginning to melt off over here, so probably OK after all.
18th-Nov-2004 08:54 pm (UTC)

No f'ing way.

Now I want to be in England. I want some snow!

Hopefully it doesn't bugger up MWNN's flight.

Hopefully it doesn't bugger up MWNN's flight.

Too late. It's already announced as delayed. Now if they cancel I'm in real trouble because I'll be on the road by the time it's announced on the on-line arrivals' board. I have to leave home and allow about 30 mins to drive to the airport - seeing as how it's unseasonally snowing

We do NOT get snow in England in November - no way. *sends snowdrifts your way*

Oh knickers - I'm going to have to go and dig the car out now, aren't I?

18th-Nov-2004 09:04 pm (UTC)
It's not settling, so don't get too excited. But it is very unusual though.
18th-Nov-2004 09:06 pm (UTC)
It's settling here. There's about 3 inches of it on the conservatory roof already.

Daren't look at the car. I'm steeling myself for a dig-out session.
18th-Nov-2004 09:11 pm (UTC)
Fibber. It's not settling in Dunstable or here.
18th-Nov-2004 09:29 pm (UTC)
It bloody well is. Take a look at this.

That's the conservatory roof from my window - with the evergreen whatever tree in the background. And yes it's still snowing. bellinghman warned me against heading north on the A505 towards Stansted. Thank the Lord that MWNN usually flies the Luton route.

I've just got back in with a wet bum because when I opened the car door to switch the engine on to run the heater and windsscreen wipers, an avalanche hit the driver's seat.

18th-Nov-2004 09:31 pm (UTC)
Oh okay, I apoligise. That is impressive for November.

It's just it's been pissing down here all day and no way is it going to setttle apart from the slush on my windscreen.
18th-Nov-2004 09:34 pm (UTC)
Well I am further north than you are. And out in the sticks. So - colder, more exposed, the wind coming from across the Russian Steppes.

Want nice twinklie snow icon for the Christmas fic.
18th-Nov-2004 09:37 pm (UTC)
Not by that much, and there's none in Dunstable.

Yeah I want twinkly icon too. I suppose i'd better learn how to make it then.

Loved the photo of snow on your roof - it makes you shiver just looking at it. I hope by now that you and MWNN are both safely home from the trip to the airport - now get back into bed and stay there until you are well - and make MWNN look after you - he can be in charge of the teapot!!! J

Back safe, if not sound.

No chance of staying in bed, out again today - no rest for the wicked.

Am wearing the tartan dressing gown as I type - LOVE IT!
23rd-Nov-2004 10:34 pm (UTC)
