Hey tubbyk lay off my 'im indoors. He tries. (And, yes, before you come back at that one, he is very trying at times.)It can't be easy coping with a totally Buffy-obsessed wife. And he DID cook dinner last night so that I could have a marathon TV session, watching the totally butchered BBC2 version of 'Wrecked', followed by Lessons on Sky 1. (am I getting better at this html stuff willowfae ?

Aunty N Will you please stop letting the outlaws rattle your cage - listen to your 'im indoors - he's being reasonable for once!

Yep, getting better :)

So how much did the BBC butcher Wrecked? Having only seen it once before I couldn't remember the details (plus was trying to cook at the same time).

They mangled the first scene between Buffy and Spike.

Cut the answer to her question "When did the building fall down" (Dunno, sometime after the first time we . . . )

Cut the response to Buffy's comment about having to go home and worried about Dawn. (wasn't so much of an issue last night - all those little nasties you murmured)

The whole of the part where they rolled around when Buffy finally gave in to more.

Cut out Spike offering Buffy her knickers and she punching him.

Did keep in the line about the one thing better than killing a slayer. (I guess that was because he didn't actually say the F word.

So, it was mainly dialogue they cut - and some of the hotter naked action. It would have made no sense to cut the entire scene as it builds the whole of season 6. What they DID do was bad enough - it made the scene very jumpy with clumsy editing.

Do you think they realise what a bad time-slot it is in for Season 6?

There was a lovely</b> comment from the continuity announcer at the end of the ep. Along the lines of Buffy shouldn't tease a vampire like that - vampires have feeling too!

I wonder if they realise what a bad time slot it is for Buffy PERIOD. It's not just that this season has got worse (although it has), but every box set, right back to season 1 is rated 15. They wouldn't show a 15 rated film at that time, would they?
