Sunday 18th July - Montchanin boatyard

We arrived at the boatyard earlier than planned because we have spent the last two days carrying out a rescue operation on a German boat - NOT the way we had planned to spend our last week, I can tell you (narrowboaters do it slowly - it's what we do!) This has been the most stressful, hard, frustrating, and, at times, downright scary couple of days we've had in a long time. The Saga of the rescue of the Aegir requires more time than I have.
