Sunday in to Avignon

To the market to buy mats for the dogs. The floors in the gite are tiled and it is cold. Water in this morning's shower was what MWNM called monastic - to cool the adour - very fitting for today's trip to Palais des Papes.

The French bint in the tourist office gave us a bump steer when she told us the Palais was free today. It costs us 18 Euros mind you, that included the audio guide in English.

I was disappointed by the Palais - no sign of the decadence and debauchery of Pope Innoncent (what a misnomer that was) the VI. No hint or whiff of anything.
