Interesting Day

Busy, but interesting.

But first, let's begin with a Random Question: Does anyone remember watching a cartoon, in the late '70s with the catch-phrase It's the wol - u - ff, it's the wol - u ff.? MWNN and I have distinct memories of watching with TotKat when she was a toddler. It was called something like Mildew and Lambsie or Mildew the Wolf. TotKat says we were halucinating. If that's the case, we must both have been on the same stuff, because we can both quote chunks from various episodes. Is it a turkey from Albuquerque? No - it's the wol - u - ff.

On to the busy day I've just had.
.Left the assignment to percolate.
.Walked the dogs with MWNN and tried to get to grips with the ins and outs of the Charity of which he's a Trustee. He's trying to write the Development Plan for an organisation that needs one but isn't too keen on giving up its random approach to spending millions.
.Set about the Spring clean for the house-sitters. With only 4 days to go, am I pissing against the wind? Washed curtains and re- hung hanged put them back up again, washed every item of clothing that was lying around, did the dishes, cleaned the cooker. I'm knackered from typing all that, let alone doing it.

And then, I tackled the problem of getting the laptop (Spawn of The Beast) ready for communication duties in France.
. Installed Kaspersky labs virus-checker.
. Set up the dial up connection to the Internet and connected.

So far, so good.

. Tried to get Outlook Express to collect mail from my ntlworld account. Won't work.
. Enabled posting LJ entries by email from three different accounts. One of them is yours irishnoodles in case The Spawn isn't up and running between cybercafes. Still don't understand how I'm going to access any of them off line if Outlook Express won't work.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Will send the link off to daughter. Look, there's the origin of Killer Terrier's nickname Bristle Hound.

Is it available on DVD do you think?
