Quote for the Day
Christmas Eve was a night of song that wrapped itself about you like a shawl. But it warmed more than your body. It warmed your heart... filled it, too, with melody that would last forever Bess Streeter Aldrich

Thank you to kathyh for the e-card. Very fitting given the weather we've had for the past week. I _loved_ the bone-shaped present Santa gave the dog.

And to gillo whose Christmas card arrived today. Yes today! \0/\0/\0/

To everyone travelling to visit relatives, or heading off for a holiday, take care, stay warm, and have a Merry Christmas.

Did the scouts deliver it or is the post office working?

The Post Office delivered. Our Postie delivered a card (Peter Pan and Wendy - what does he think of us?) from himself thanking us for his Christmas Box. I fear this is an indication of how few people give their Posties (and bin men) Christmas Boxes nowadays.

What do you put in it? we usually do it randomly through the year but it's always biscuits, which they must get sick of.

Cash. The bin men thought MWNN was going to complain about something when he approached the truck this year.

LOL! I bet they don't get many people wanting something different. Biscuits are cheaper than cash though *iz cheep*

The Italian neighbours are always complaining to the bin men.

Biscuits may be cheaper, but yours are more frequent than our cash so it probably evens out.

Wow. I am impressed by the postman. I was certain it wouldn't reach you till next week!

Hope you're both feeling well enough to have a really good Christmas!

Being unwell is proving most useful. No need to make an effort for anyone else.

I was certain it wouldn't reach you till next week!
Take care with those negative thoughts.

Have a peaceful Christmas. Hope to see you in the New Year.

I _loved_ the bone-shaped present Santa gave the dog.

I didn't think the dog was quite the right size to be Ronnie but I thought the fact that the dog got was there was very appropriate for you :)

Hope you feel better enough to enjoy Christmas.

Thank you. Ron is recovering first and has all his energy back. MWNN and I, meanwhile, are still in our PJs.

Who would'a thunk that mince pie is a very good substitute for Weetabix for breakfast?
