Quote for the Day
We all end in the ocean.
We all start in the streams.
Life happens in the present. Reality is now. What is, is.
A ship is safe in harbour, but that's not what ships are for.
Being on a boat that's moving through the water, it's so clear. Everything falls into place in terms of what's important and what's not. James Taylor

AND AT TIMES I AM

Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
With that thought in mind, I'll go back to knitting the rug for my new study/bedroom.

I love the quote
HOLY HELL YOU KNIT RUGS???

I don't know if I knit rugs yet, I just started this one. It
easy and quick; big chunky yarn on big chunky needles.

Is that one of your rugs? it's lovely.

That's the pic that comes with the free pattern. I'm using a different colour scheme, with 'spice' in place of the cream.

A knitted rug? I'm impressed. What sort of yarn?

Another Lion Brand one; 80% acrylic, 20% wool. It's very very squishy and bulky and feels very like wool.

Is that a rug that you knitted?
I've been crocheting chenille scarfs. With all the snow and ice we had, and the bluff east winds, I needed something, and find many yarns too prickly.
I've been a busy beaver all around. I foolishly got involved in trading my ATCs with other artists, and have swamped myself. Having fun though.
It looks like Ronnie is doing well. We could never let our mastiffs have toys. Cedric would probably have been okay, but Liam could never resist destroying him. I know in his own mind it was serious scientific inquiry--like the little child who takes things apart to see how they are put together. Of course, the goal of this inquiry was to discover the hidden biscuit that lies at the heart of all things!

The pictured rug is the one from the pattern. I'm about 25% into my first one and am beginning to be concerned. Taking the different coloured yarns across the back is giving the front a slightly quilted appearance.
Ronnie hides biscuits in the furniture, then promptly forgets where he's put them. The cushions are then in grave danger.
I foolishly got involved in trading my ATCs with other artists, and have swamped myself. Having fun though.
I totally empathise.
