knitting sketch
I'm finding the news and weather so depressing that, apart from one day out last week in Ramsey in the sunshine, I locked myself away for a while and did some serious knitting.

The result - an afgan planned for MWNN's birthday has ended up on the bed in my study.

waves afgan

MWNN doesn't like the colours. He wants something more cheerful. Cheerful yarn was ordered and is due for delivery on Monday. I'm going to have to knit like a mad knitting thing to get the next one finished in time.

I hope all my LJ friends are safe from the ravages of Hurricane Ike, and safely back home if affected by the Channel Tunnel or XL problems.

Off out again soon for a picnic by the river.

That is really pretty. I am gulping slightly at the idea of what MWNN thinks might be "cheerful" enough for him though!

Pat! I got the shawl! It went to my neighbor's house, and they just brought it over today.

I'm so glad (and relieved) to hear that. Your shawl was the one 'airing' on the lavender bush in the garden.

Oh, how wonderful!! That makes it even more precious :) :)

Scott laughed at the lavendar soap again enclosed (in a nice way!) He said "she really has your number, doesn't she?" :D
