Lovely colour! You'll have to start selling these - you're churning them out so quickly! *g*

Thanks. I couldn't possibly sell them. They're like puppies or kittens and have to go to good homes.

SO BEAUTIFUL.

You make me want to create things again. Maybe while I'm post-op? I have all my crochet hooks still - I should get some yarn and patterns.

Keep your eyes open for a package I'm sending you tomorrow. There are lots of free online patterns at Ravelry. Why not join. It'll stop you going completely gaga after the op. (It's definitely going ahead then?)

You are just...you're just overwhelming, Pat. BIG. BIG. HUGS.

90% certain it's a go. Had the colonoscopy/endoscopy on Friday, and they determined that I'm a good candidate for the procedure, and it should help.

I have to wait for the results of the routine cancer biopsy on the tissue - while it's HIGHLY unlikely I have cancer, they have to check, and since early detection is key to that, I don't mind. If/when that comes back negative, we'll be scheduling surgery. It's gonna be a long road to recovery, but hell, it's been a long road so far, and it's a light at the end of a tunnel. (No TMI pun intended!)

Scott tells me that apparently, after the procedure, while I was still in drugged la-la land, I plaintively asked the doctor if I could now eat a steak ;) I'm hankering for some MEAT very badly! Alas, I'm still on what I'm calling "the mushy white food diet."

I had a look on Ravelry and came up with a few patterns you might like. All are available free at the following sites.

MWNN posted the package this morning.

You're very brave facing such major surgery. I'd be in pieces by now at the thought of it.

Oh, THANK YOU :D for links and gifty!
*bookmarks*

You know, it's not so much bravery at this point, really. It's more that I want my life back. I'm very very tired of this condition running it, and I'm sick of the pain, and not being able to eat tasty, healthy foods. I'm tired of not being able to go out with Scott on weekends, or away for vacation, etc. And I want to work again!

I put off going in for a long time, but my cousin, who had this done 2 years ago, called me up and read me the riot act, saying "You've already dealt with major surgery, so you know how that goes. Trust me - this will be best decision you ever make."

Now I'm going to see what I will be able to create in my downtime :D
