knitting sketch
arrived this morning so I have started the preparation for the Beginners' Masterclass. So far, I have traced and marked the template on the material set it in the hoop, suitably protected around the rim with tissue paper.

In about 6 weeks (average time to complete the online class, I should have produced this

bendy1, if you're wondering why no one has commented on today's entries, I tried on the first one but it wouldn't let me, despite the fact that the little pencil symbol was there. Same thing's happening with the second one's just let me in - helpless kin the face of my not inconsiderable charms. Your counter's jinxed it methinks.

That's gorgeous - look forward to seeing what you produce. Quite impressed that you can do this online.

That's gorgeous :) I don't have the patience but I've seen some beautifully intricate work like that...

It's okay, I disabled comments in my tantrum :) I'm over it now *is five*

That's so pretty. Looking forward to hearing about how the classes go. And will you produce the finished result in 6 weeks' time? *g*

Not a snowball's chance that it'll be finished in 6 weeks. There's Soul Searching to update, and a super sekrit project for later in the year.

I'm going to have to ask for an extension on the password for the online classes.

My lips are sealed 'til I get the go-ahead to pimp nearer the time.

OMG, that's beautiful!! Is the pic actual-size? Will you mount and frame it, or if it's larger, where will you put it.

Jeeze, that is gorgeous.... Same colors? (inquiring minds want to know.)

Actual size will fit in an A4 frame, so the pic above is a lot smaller. Yes, I shall use the same colours. There was a choice of pale or black background and I think it looks so stunning on black, I opted for that. Background material is polycotton, the threads are silk.

I'm planning to frame it for my new 'sleep room' (we're having our garage converted into MWNN's study so that I can regain the use of the small box room that used to be mine. It's not carpeted and his bookshelevs will go, leaving me with an asthma-proofed room in which to sleep. It'll also double as a 'guest room' so I will leave a single bed in what is currently my study/bedroom.

I always want to design my own things like this.
28th-Jul-2005 05:47 pm (UTC) - I always want to design my own things like this.
That's why I'm doing this course. I design stuff like this ( Well, to tell the truth, I take photos and adapt) but can't translate it into stitch.

How did the interview go?

Ok. Better than the other one - didn't get that. I think I have a good chance with this one, but I may turn it down. I've done it all before and there's nothing creative there.

there's nothing creative there.

There's the keep-the-wolf-from-the-door salary. Couldn't you chanel the creative juices elsewhere and use it as a secure economic base from which to look for a better job at leisure?

I'm lazy, I know if I take it, I'll stay there. Anyway, I'm not 100% decided yet (although if I can't make my mind up, it probably means it isn't right).

Speaking of lazy - you looked at chapter 7 yet?

And while we're on the topic of fics, do you mind if we start at 8.30, not 8 tonight? I've not started cooking dinner yet, we're eatinga little later than usual.

8.30 is fine, and I have started.
