Bugger, bugger and thrice bugger

pissed off
There's a </u>Cream reunion</u> and I'm going to be out of the country.

Just checked the online booking - even if I'd been in the UK, it's sold out!

Did I say bugger? It bears repeating.

I didn't realise there were going to be so few dates. I thought they were going to tour and the Albert Hall was just the first of many. I am so disappointed.

Didn't know you were a Creama fan. We have great taste ;)

I blew out my parents sound system (and very large, expensive speakers) on the guitar solo from White Room.

My parents raised me on sci-fi and rock (Cream, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Moody Blues, Hendrix, etc.)

Tho in my infinite weirdness I think that Strange Brew is about Drusilla and that I should write a fic about it.

We have very good taste.

PS. My dad tells a story of seeing Ginger Baker performing solo and strung out on heroin in the now-gone Smiling Buddha Cabaret in Vancouver so so long ago. Just this strange, infinite, brilliant drum solo that went on for probably hours, or least it felt like hours.

All three Cream members are brilliant musicians. I have a lot of time for Jack Bruce as a bass playere and singer.

Quite right.

On a mildly similar topic, I just bought a CD collection. It's Clapton on one CD, Jimmy Page on the second and Jeff Beck on the third - Yardbirds guitarists...brilliant!

Our daughter was raised on a similar diet of classic Rock and Sci-fi/fantasy. Her earliest memories are of standing beneath the sound system speakers, singing along to Bohemian Rhapsody. I've only recently regained the Pratchett paperbacks she took to Uni with her.

Funnily enough, I gave Strange Brew to Ethan to sing for Lorne. I used it to foretell Illyria's arrival. I think that song is one of the most perfectly constructed tracks ever laid to vinyl.

Hypnotic demons girls anthem, that's what it is :)

And my dad's a Pratchett fan...and my parents went to Queen in the early 80s. I was born in 1977, but it should've been '57 so I could've seen all the bands they've seen. Like the Stones on their very first tour of North America!
