Water flowing underground
same as it ever was
It's that time of year again

knitting sketch
when MWNN flies off to exotic parky Dublin to see his Ma; (he goes tomorrow)

the chimney sweep shoves the obligatory small child up the chimney;

MWNN gets out his axe to chop some of the neighbours' children's balls off for letting off fireworks 6 weeks ahead of Guy Fawkes Night the kindling; (Not so many fireworks this year - new ruling must be working.)

I do lots of pot roasts, casseroles and home made soup;

the snot just keeps running and running until it meets the concrete plug in the sinuses where it starts playing silly buggers with the balance, hearing and sensitivity of the teeth;

I drag the ironing board out of the retirement-home-under-the-stairs and iron everything in sight - oops, sorry killer terrier.

Been busy, busy, busy. So much so, that I forgot to watch Hex last night. Did anyone catch it? Any good?

ETA Just got notification e-mail. My LUCKY GORE-TEX BOOT by STONEFLY have just been shipped - Yay!

I forgot Hex too. Am downloading it instead. Apparently there is a Saturday repeat.

It's funny, evryone around me is dropping from the lurgy, but I still semm okay...

Will watch the Saturday repeat, methinks.

My cold is in retreat now. So I've started on your Chapter Six. It's reading much better than the ones you wrote before the French trip.

Does mine need any major surgery? I'm putting off writing the final chapter. There's just one line in it that I can't decide on. If I write it in, there may well be need for a sequel. It's tempting me - tell it to go away.

I'm about halfway through yours and i haven't found anything serious yet. been a bit delayed by two days of overtime at work.

I think that chapyer probably reads better because there was nothing pressing I needed to say, just had to zip through the action. I expect the next one or two will be lots of discussions and rows.

Swquel tempation, eh? The chance to write lots of Illyria!

You're having a dodgy keyboard day by the looks of it. Let's hope that's not contagious.

Temptation is all about the chance to write some Illyria. I'd have to find another theme to explore. Need an excuse to write fiction, don't'cha know.

Think I'll go back and re-read Lesley's Illyria essay. Methinks I might just have me an idea. Are you watching David Starkey's Monarchy? The bloke's seriously off target with his thesis.

Now what did I ask? Eh? I said tell it to go away, not find it a reason to tempt me further - hee!

It's the new wireless keyboard and mouse, things are a little erratic.

I wanted to see Monarchy, but i forgot it was on - as usual! What's wrong with it?

I thought the theme would be obvious. Illyria=power=Angel.

Oh just a minor matter of suggesting that Christianity was brought to England by the Saxon King who married off his son to Charlemagne's daughter long after the Monasteries were being built in the North.

Nah! Too obvious. Thinking more along the lines of Illyria's struggle to accept the shell she's inhabiting. Something to do with adaptation and Wesley and Spike's role. So more Spike, less Angel - Yay!

Hmm. So what were the Romans up to then?

Yeah probably. Power could drawn in Wesley too, I've always wondered how he copes with not being the boss anymore, seeing as he's better at it that Angel, imo. But you're right, 'where's the Spike of it?' can't be answered. Adaption is good, because it affects all of them.
